SIPT (Sensory Integration and Praxis Test): The SIPT provides in depth information regarding your child's specific sensory processing deficits and is meant to contribute to the clinical understanding to children with irregularities in learning or behavior.

Home or School consultations: An Occupational Therapist will come into your home or school and make specific sensory and fine motor recommendations for you and your child based on the environment and available equipment.

Home programs

In-services and Trainings: DTC will provide in-service training and workshops for families and the community as requested.

Speech and OT Co-Treatments: We can provide simultaneous treatment by a speech therapist and occupational therapist, creating the opportunity for the child to be organized and ready for increased speech production and communication.

Listening Programs

Activity Based Groups: Our social skills groups are based around specific activities. These groups focus on learning new motor skills, increasing social interaction in natural setting, and improving self esteem and motivation. We use activity as a means to allow children with similar interests to participate in activities of their choice while engaging with others.

Sensory Integration: Sensory integration is the nervous system's ability to take in all sensory information and bring it together allowing us to interact effectively within our environment. Difficulty with sensory integration can affect all aspects of a child's development. Sensory integration also refers to a frame of reference commonly used during occupational therapy to address difficulty with sensory processing.
